Pay It Forward

Monday I was still a-buzz from the quilt retreat. I invited GS & her sister A to come to my house for a lesson in fusing. GS would like to use fusing as a component in her senior art class at Mount de Chantal. My darling daughter, a member of that class, attended the fusing class in our basement. What quick learners! Here are their first attempts--small quilts using scraps. SJ's is the watermelon, A's is the log cabin, and GS's is a seascape.(I regret that I can't turn the photo AND get blogger to upload!!)

After getting their feet wet, the three made these:

The four of us had a lovely day being together, talking about school, NYC, art, and family. I felt as though I was paying forward all the help & teaching of fusing & art quilting that others have shared with me.
