Here I am with my first sock. My new year's resolutions included learning to knit sox and losing 100 lbs. Guess which one is easier!
I'm using Schoeller & Stahl's Big Print, superwash wool on #2 needles. This makes a very dense, boot sock.

Since the groundhog saw his shadow yesterday, we will have 6 more weeks of winter. Of course in this northern panhandle of WV we haven't had any winter. So just to be safe, I'm hurrying to make this warm pair. I'm already looking at soft, pastel yarns for spring socks. I'll never catch the sock-aholics, but I'll be able to cross one new year's resolution off the list. Oh, no! I still have that weight to work on!
