Cowl neck sweater, done! I have completed my first sweater. Yippee! I first met this sweater in New Albany, IN at a Mrs. Mel workshop. One of the other workshoppers was wearing one and after talking, she and I decided that it would be a great beginning sweater for me to try. Seemed like all the quilters there were knitters, too. I'd been racing thru scarf after scarf, and knew it was time to push my knitting technique. This is done in the box step, K2, P2, thruout the sweater, so it was very easy knitting, and uses simple rectangles for construction. Now all I need to do is to block it and wait for fall to wear it.
The pattern can be found in "25 Gorgeous Sweaters for the Brand-New Knitter" by Catherine Ham. I used Plymouth Yarn's Encore Colorspun knitting worsted, 75% acrylic 25% wool on U.S. #6 needles.
On to the next project, a shawl for fall!

As much as am refusing to start knitting (growing weaker and weaker) I love this sweater.
