This must be the summer of the tote! I've been meaning to try sewing some of the clay prints I posted earlier this spring, and finally found some time over the weekend. I was inspired to "just do it!" when I visited Dragonfly Studio. Love the way the handles are fastened on her tote, I'll try something like that next time. A great tote tutorial for beginning sewers can be found at Super Eggplant's blog. The clay monoprint was made at a Mitch Lyons workshopt in March, attached to the bag with blue & orange zigzags.

A close-up of the monoprint done on Pellon and thus sewn on. Tote can be gingerly hand-washed, print too.
