My first attempt at blogging knitting.

Left side of sweater vest with extension for shawl collar. These photos are of my WIP, a vest with shawl collar from "25 Gorgeous Sweaters for the Brand-New Knitter" by Catherine Ham. I'm on the home stretch, the back and this side are done, working on right side then will assemble. I am using Plymouth Yarn's Encore Colorspun knitting worsted, 75% acrylic 25% wool on U.S. #6 needles. The entire sweater is knit in the box stitch, luckily I can count to 2! Can't wait to finish this and get on to the next project, a shawl for fall.

That is beautiful yarn. Of course I would use it for couching.

btw. I have taken a leave from work to concentrate on getting some issues resolved healthwise...and part of the leave will be unpaid, so the workshop w/ Caryl is out...She will be the instructor for 2 days at next year's Form, Not Function...machine quilting.
