The New York Times > Opinion > Mr. Bush's Acceptance Speech

I am dizzy from the spin. Spin & whirl, spin & whirl! The pundits are saying that W's exceptance speech showed the warm, fuzzy, good ole boy side of the man. No girlie man here. Pure testosterone. This editorial reminds us not to be douped by the dizzying spin, but to remember what was promised and what has been delivered. This piece reminds us of the Mexican immigrants, the Spanish spoken here stuff of 4 years ago, and then the dropping of all work on needed immigration legislation. This piece also reminds us of the under funded education legislation--no child left behind--my behind! Insightful. A good reminder.
